So I’ve been doing a ton of research lately for my upcoming (and first!) book on fat loss, and I’ve found something that I think you should all understand.
If you’re reading a book of someones and they’re trying to prove a point, be very cautious of what they tell you.
For example, I think it’s funny that there are various exercise and fitness programs I’ve reviewed which find all of these evidence trying to prove their point, but when I do my own research I can actually find MORE evidence against it!
You have to understand, a lot of people don’t care about what happens to you. This is especially true in the weight loss industry. They only care about how many books they can sell.
So let’s say I was trying to prove that…I dunno…eating beef jerky twice a day resulted in twice the amount of muscle gain than not eating beef jerky.
If I were a snake oil salesman (like most fitness “experts” are), I would go out and try to find all the research I could proving that point - even if there were 3 studies to every 1 of my studies that proved me wrong!
And this is exactly why when I come out with my book, I can pretty much guarantee you I’m going to have people coming to me begging not to release it.
Because guess what - I’m writing this book completely unbiased!
I’m not coming up with some new way to lose fat or anything revolutionary like that…so I’m not trying to prove any kind of point really.
And that’s what I think is going to make this book so incredibly powerful.
I can’t give away too much information though. I will say though that I plan on releasing it in early April - and I can’t wait! I’m working as many hours as I possibly can on this and I can promise you this…it’s going to blow your mind

I just got done reading the book “Flatten Your Abs” by David Grisaffi, and I have to say it was pretty good.
Getting flat abs is the goal for the majority of people trying to lose weight because let’s face it - flat, defined abs is probably the sexiest thing you can have when it comes to muscles.
But for most people, it’s very hard to do.
After all, it takes a lot of dedication and hard work.
So David figured he would make a book giving you a bit more specific advice on pretty much everything you need to know about your abdominals.
But does it stand up to my standards?
The first thing I love about this book is that right in the heginning before he gets into the “meat and potatoes”, he gives you a few exercises you need to do to determine your abdominal strength.
This is very important because a major cause of injuries is trying to do an exercise your back or stomach muscles can’t handle!
Next, I love how he has a whole slew of pages related to FAQ’s.
Many people have tons of qeustions about various aspects of losing weight, abdominal training, and general information on how to flatten your abs, so I loved this part of the book.
Plus, he’s got a huge section on the actual exercises you should do for getting rock-solid abs, and he uses a few exercises most people don’t know about but will produce awesome results.
He also includes a lot of pictures and descriptions of the exercises which is great, but I kind of felt weird that it wasn’t actually him doing the exercises (maybe it’s his wife?).
But there are also a few things I don’t like.
I didn’t like the fact that, in my opinion, there wasn’t enough information on nutrition which is 80% of the game when it comes to flattening your abs.
Without the right nutrition, if you try to flatten your abs it’s going to be very hard unless you want to workout for a few hours everyday!
However just because there wasn’t “enough” doesn’t mean there’s not enough to get you started and help you get a great looking stomach. If you follow his solid advice, you’ll do great.
So overall, I’d give Flatten Your Abs a 4/5. It comes from a very well-known guy who’s respected by most fitness professionals and he pretty much shows you exactly what you need to do to flatten your abs and start looking great!

If you’re not doing body weight workouts yet, you absolutely should be. Not only can they get in you AWESOME shape, they can do that in your own home and usually pretty quickly.
Plus they’re a lot more fun (I think at least) than other types of working out, especially going to the gym.
Bah, the gym is SO boring to me - I don’t know how you do it if you still go to a gym.
I have to say I’m a little biased on this because I absolutely love body weight workouts. They’re the first type of exercising that ever got me in good shape and although I mix it up a lot now, they’re still part of my routine that I do.
In his book on body weight workouts, Eddie gives you a large variety of body weight workouts that you can do in your own home without buying tons of different pieces of workout equipment, so you get to save not only your time and convenience, but you won’t have to buy a bunch of different pieces of workout equipment!
What I really like about the Ultimate Gymless Workout is that he does a great job of mixing everything up in terms of different goals that you may have.
For example, he’s got a section on fat loss, one for strength training, some for people that need to be in incredible shape like athletes, firefighters and cops, and 1 for general fitness, as well as a few others.
To me this is a great thing because it helps you figure out exactly what you’re going for, then pick out the body weight workouts he tells you to do and, like Nike says, just do it!
So for the workouts part of the Ebook, I’d give it a 4.5 out of 5.
But I’m Not Done Yet…
The one thing I don’t like about the Ultimate Gymless Workout is that he barely gives any nutrition advice at all.
I can see why he did it, considering his book is called the ultimate gymless workout and not the ultimate gymless workout and nutrition plan (or something like that) - however, I think any book on fitness should at least include a bonus that talks about nutrition since it’s the most important part to losing weight and getting in great shape.
So all in all, I would recommend this book to anybody interested in saving time, getting in great shape, and spending less money by never having to go back to a boring, smelly old gym.
Body weight workouts will always be one of my favorite ways to workout. There’s nothing like simply getting in touch with your body and getting in a great workout - you can leave out the iron!

However, having known Tom for a few years now, I can attest to anything he puts out there without even needing to look at it.
And by the way, yes I’ll be purchasing it shortly, I just have way too many different things I’m reading already and need to get through them first.
In it, he goes even further into detail than what he teaches in his Ebook called “Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle”. Some of it is the same but “spun” a different way to allow you to understand it better, and some is new.
Either way, it’s ALWAYS a good thing to reinforce those habits you’re already doing so you can continue doing them.

If you talk to most fitness “guru’s” you’ll see that they expect you to eat perfectly all the time. I don’t know about you, but this just really bugs me.
Sure they can eat perfect because they make a living going to competitions, but what about the average people who lead normal lives?
It’s alot harder for us “normal” people to eat like they do!
So here’s what you do.
If you ever find yourself straying off your diet for a meal, all you need to do is just make sure you eat extra healthy the next meal or just kind of skimp on the rest of that meal.
For example, this morning I had a cinnamon streusel muffin. I’d been craving it like crazy and decided to just have it and say who cares.
So all I did was make a protein shake instead of my normal breakfast and consumed roughly the same amount of calories I normally would have, even though I ate the muffin!
See how easy that is?
It’s so simple, yet many people don’t think to do it.
Try that out the next time you get a craving that’s simply too much to resist - it’s easy and works like a charm.

Some people say intermittent fasting is an absolute life-saver, others say intermittent fasting makes your metabolism slow down to a turtle’s pace while also eating away at your precious muscles.
But who’s right?
I recently read a book called “Eat Stop Eat” for the second time, and I have to say - he’s got some pretty convincing evidence that intermittent fasting is one of the best ways to lose fat WITHOUT dieting and WITHOUT losing muscle.
I know it sounds contradictory to everything you’ve ever read, but he backs it up with a lot of scientific research that he’s been looking at since he was in college (literally).
Anyway, let me tell you my experience with intermittent fasting.
I tried it out a long time ago (for about 2 weeks), and lost weight pretty quickly. I also lost a lot of muscle. However, and this is a big however, during the time I was fasting, I also was very busy and didn’t workout the whole time I was trying out fasting.
In his book Eat Stop Eat, Brad Pilon (the author) explains how if you don’t follow a resistance training program while fasting, you absolutely will lose muscle.
But isn’t that the same with any type of weight loss?
I mean think about it. No matter how you lose weight, you’re going to lose muscle too if you’re not resistance training - that’s just how it works!
So if you fast and don’t resistance train, yes you’ll lose muscle.
But what happens when you try out intermittent fasting and follow a resistance training program at the same time?
Well, that’s where the magic happens.
I recently started back up again and I have to say, I love it.
On the days that I fast, I get a lot more work done. I also don’t have to worry about what to do and whether it’s bad for me, etc. etc.
It’s pretty nice!
Also, I haven’t lose ANY strength at all. In fact yesterday I worked out after 24 hours of not eating and actually increased my strength from my previous workout.
So much for “needing” to eat carbs and protein before working out eh?
Anyway, I REALLY want you to check out Eat Stop Eat and find out why I chose to start doing intermittent fasting instead of eating “perfect” everyday - which seems to be pretty hard for me.
