Is The Elliptical Fitness Machine Worth The Money?
Posted Under: Fitness Machines
The elliptical fitness machine has recently become one of the most popular weight loss machines on the market today.
But is it worth the money?
Actually, I have 2 answers for that.
Personally, I think it’s a pile of crap.
They made the elliptical fitness machine so people could plop it in front of a TV and use it while they were watching their favorite show.
While that might sound nice, to me and anybody else who’s serious about getting in shape - it’s a disaster.
Why?
Because when you workout, you should be focused on working out. You shouldn’t be watching TV, talking to friends, or doing chores. You should workout when you workout!
Plus I personally think the elliptical fitness machine is really uncomfortable. My fiancĂ©e loves it, but I’ve tried using it and couldn’t last more than a minute or 2 without absolutely hating how “fake” it felt.
Now, I also have another side to my madness which I feel you should also know.
I will say, it’s better than nothing.
If you’re extremely unmotivated and the elliptical fitness machine simply has to be ploped in front of a TV or you won’t workout, well then I guess whatever makes you workout right?
Personally I think you should stop whining about exercising and just do it like you should, but hey, who am I to tell you how to exercise.
I guess I just like things that are more natural - and to me, the elliptical fitness machine is anything but natural.
You never make the motion you make when you’re on it in real life. It’s kind of a mix between a normal walking step and a forward lunge.
But when do you ever do that in real life?
Plus the elliptical fitness machine is a few hundred bucks which could much better be spent on dumbbells, resistance bands, workout programs like The Truth About Six Pack Abs which actually shows you exactly how to get in the best shape of your life (plus it’s much cheaper), or even just save it and do bodyweight exercises!
Either way, it’s up to you. I don’t care what works for you, as long as it works.
If working out in front of a TV works for you and you like how the elliptical fitness trainer feels (I suggest trying it out at a place like Dick’s Sporting Goods before you buy one), then by all means go out and purchase one.
But if you want to get in shape incredibly fast, plus learn exactly what you should and shouldn’t eat and build a little muscle while you’re losing fat so you don’t turn into a “skinny fat” person, I suggest saving your money and investing in The Truth About Six Pack Abs instead of an elliptical fitness machine.
